Chat Purger

The Chat Purger provides a way for administrators to purge all statements in a chat room. This can for example allow an administrator to prepare the room for another group of participants or eliminate a conversation that shouldn't be read by later visitors.

The Chat Purger entity embeds a link in the room which when followed will purge the room. Only those in a group with access to the entity (defaults to the webmaster) will see the link and be able to do the purging.

A common use of the Chat Purger is to add the entity reference &chat.purger; in the bottom of a room. This way, administrators can purge a room by selecting the "Purge Room" link in the bottom of the page.

Installing the Chat Purger Component

1. Download the Chat Purger archive.
2. Unstuff the archive (most browsers will do this for you).
3. Find the appropriate version of the component in the folder that best matches your version of Interaction.
4. Put the component file in the Components folder of Interaction
5. Restart Interaction to activate the component.
