Interaction Shop Service

Shop is an optional service to Interaction that provides the capabilities of a shopping cart so you can create an on-line shop where your customers can browse products, add these to their cart, view the items in the cart, and ultimately order these. No programming or scripting is required on your part. Simply define a list of inventory, and create the shop as tailored XML-enhanced HTML pages.

The Interaction Shop facilitates the creation of a highly customized shop, optimizing the presentation of your products. You are not limited to the boring product listings so common in web "catalogs" based on traditional databases. The service is designed so you can make a shop that optimally presents your products, all designed using dialogs on the Mac.

The Interaction Shop makes shopping a social experience. The shop is integrated with chat rooms and forums so your customers can discuss the products with your representatives or other customers during shopping. The content of the shopping cart will not get lost in the process. Another advantage is that Interaction doesn't require customers to go through an alienating registration process before they can shop, and maintain the cart even for those that has disabled "Cookies".

Installing the Interaction Shop Service Component

1. Download the Interaction Shop Service archive.
2. Unstuff the archive (most browsers will do this for you).
3. Find the appropriate version of the component in the folder that best matches your version of Interaction.
4. Put the component file in the Components folder of Interaction
5. Restart Interaction to activate the component.
