Interaction can be used for hosting personalized websites, company portals, web communities, on-line zines and virtual classrooms. Many features are configured with friendly dialogs on the Mac. Others use the application to serve dynamic sites based on open standards such as CSS style sheets, server-side XML and XSL without discarding visitors with older browsers. The application generates standard HTML pages that are accessible using any standard web browser including not only all versions of Netscape and Explorer, but also text-based browsers, WebTV, AOL and audio browsers.
Interaction can be used with various web servers on different platforms, included Apache. It also works with all popular Mac web servers such as MacOS Web Sharing, WebStar(TM), &servers.ws4d, and WebTen.

The FastCGI Adapter facilitates using Interaction with WebStar V and Web Sharing on MacOSX as well as Apache and other web servers on UNIX and Windows.

Component Upgrades
Grep Search lets you use regular expressions a la Grep in the Find dialog.
ReflexMail is a resurrection of NetDreams FlexMail as a free component for Interaction. It sends email based on a form submission, verifies the fields, saves data to file and returns a custom response.
The Registration component allows visitors to register as members of your site (previously called Register Member).
The Comet Bridge allows content from the now discontinued CometPage and CometSite to be used with Interaction and XPublish. The related Cloak Bridge has been upgraded, facilitating a smooth transition from proprietary command tags to standard extensible markup with Interaction.
The Remote Call component faciliates integrating services and content from other applications with Interaction using the XML-RPC protocol.
